The English language, much like Chinese, utilizes pronouns to refer to people. The second person pronoun, which corresponds to "你" or "你们" in Chinese, is "you" in English. This is used to address the person or people being spoken to. Alongside "you," English also has first person pronouns "I" and "we" for the speaker, and third person pronouns "he," "she," "it," and "they" for others not directly involved in the conversation.

Personal pronouns in English are a subset of pronouns used to refer to people, akin to "你," "我," and "他" in Chinese. They come in different forms depending on their role in a sentence, such as subject, object, or possessive forms. The common personal pronouns include "I," "you," "he," "she," "it" (in the nominative case).

When multiple personal pronouns are used together, there is a specific order to follow: for singular pronouns, they should be arranged in the order "second person, third person, first person"; for plural pronouns, the order is "first person, second person, third person." For example:

"You, he, and I must obey the rules." This sentence indicates that the speaker, the person addressed, and another individual are all required to follow the rules.

"We, you, and they should stay here." Here, the speaker includes themselves, the people being spoken to, and another group as those who should remain in a particular location.

In situations where responsibility or blame is being assigned, the first person pronoun is typically placed at the forefront to show accountability. For instance:

"It was I and Tom who were late." This construction emphasizes that the speaker and Tom were the ones responsible for being late.

When gender-specific pronouns are used together, the convention is to mention the male pronoun first, followed by the female pronoun. For example:

"Nobody likes such things except him and her." This sentence suggests that only the male and female individuals mentioned have a liking for the items in question.
