单数。either of的意思是：任何一个。either of表示“两者之一”，其后谓语动词用单数。either在句中作主语或宾语，表示单数概念，作主语时谓语动词一般用单数形式，但在否定句中常用复数形式。

either of是指“两者有其一......”
Either of us speaks English.（注意“speaks“）
neither of是指“两者都不...”用于否定句
Neither of us English.(注意“speaks“）
both of是指两者都......用于肯定句
Both the boys are clever.两个男孩都很聪明。
